CAN I TAN IF I’M UNDER 18?
As of Jan. 1, 2012 the state of California has banned the use of ultraviolet tanning devices by anyone under age 18. clients under the age of 18 can tan in our Mystic Tan spray booth. HOW OFTEN CAN I TAN? All clients are limited by law to one UV session per day. However, our sun beds can be combined with our Mystic Tan and/or Red Light Therapy. Ask our staff about double dipping! CAN I TAN AT BOTH SALONS? All tanning packages and Sun Memberships can be used at both of our salons, our systems are linked so you can tan at either location. However, as stated above, clients are only permitted to one UV session per day. WHAT DO I WEAR IN THE SUN BED? Our sunbed rooms are completely private, so you can wear whatever you are most comfortable in or wear nothing at all. It is required by law that protective eyewear be worn in the beds; failure to use protective eyewear may result in severe burns or long-term injury to the eyes. Sun Studio has protective eyewear available for purchase. HOW LONG SHOULD I TAN? Everyone has a different skin type, so everyone will tan at different times. It is always our goal to guide each tanner to the recommended sunbed and Safe Tanning Time. 
WILL A BURN TURN INTO A TAN FASTER?
Overexposing your skin will delay your color development! Never try to hurry a tan, and always consult your salon’s tanning professional. Sun Studio practices Safe Tanning Time! Our staff is certified and we strongly recommend for all clients to tan at the recommended times we suggest. |
WHAT DOES A GOOD TANNING ROUTINE LOOK LIKE?
A tan should be acquired gradually, we suggest our clients start at low times and slowly increase their time. It is also important to pair your session with a tanning lotion for a healthy looking tan. 
HOW DO I GET COLOR IN ONE DAY?
We recommend adding a spray tan to your sunbed tanning routine! Just one spray tan session in our Mystic Tan Booth can produce flawless results in as little as six to eight hours when you need a quick boost of color. Check out our Frequently Asked Questions about sunless tanning! ARE THE SUN BEDS CLEAN? Our staff is trained and certified on how to properly clean and sanitize the rooms and beds after each tanner. We use a hospital grade FDA approved cleaning disinfectant after every client's tanning session. HOW OFTEN DOES SUN STUDIO CHANGE THE LAMPS IN THE SUN BEDS? Our sun beds are fully relamped once the lamps reach approximately 80% of their lifespan. We will always inform clients of new lamps prior to their session and we advise all tanners to reduce their normal tanning time to avoid overexposing. |
